International Circulation:   You mentioned that it is indicated now in high-risk patients; do you ever see it being extended to lower risk patients?

Prof. Greg W. Stone:  I think that is the next step.  The next series of studies that will be done with the Edwards SAPIAN valve will be to cautiously extend it to somewhat intermediate risk surgical patients.  We have to learn more with the durability of the valve before we can truly feel comfortable offering this as an option for truly low-risk surgical patients.
